Lauren Goldstein is a nationally recognized Clinical Social Worker licensed in New York,
Connecticut and Arizona. For more than 25 years her experiences range from different
therapeutic settings which includes hospitals, outpatient programs and private
practice settings. Lauren is currently in a private practice setting serving individuals,
families and couples in Fairfield and New Haven Counties. Lauren offers extensive mental
health experience with knowledge in a wide variety of techniques that result in successful outcomes for her clients. She has broadened her expertise in trauma related work and is specifically providing outreach to first responders who may suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. As a volunteer with the Fairfield County Trauma Recovery Network, Lauren facilitated public speaking engagements for first responders on the subject of PTSD in hope to destigmatize depression amongst the first responder population.
Lauren holds a Masters degree in Social Work from Adelphi University and an undergraduate degree in Criminology/Correctional Counseling from St. John's University. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Trained Professional, Compassion Fatigue Certified and trained in EMDR. She is an active member in the International Association of Trauma Professionals and a member of the National Association of Social Workers where her expertise has qualified her as a Board Certified Diplomat in the field.
Lauren has post graduate training in family therapy and philosophical studies. She attends workshops and earns continuing education credits throughout the year to stay current on the the most effective treatment options for her clients.
In addition to her counseling and psychotherapy practice, Lauren offers Skype, FaceTime and online sessions to those clients who travel, relocate, or study abroad.
